Geoffrey inspires their story with his reflections and experiences as a Reconnaissance Soldier in Vietnam. Upon returning from Nam, Geoffrey lived in the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco, California. The fun perspective in his writing style is born from his personal experiences and viewpoints from his youth during the social milieu of the counter-cultural and accurate depictions of the ‘60s during his youth as a surfer in Hawaii.
About the Authors
Amaia has lived in New Mexico her entire life, and as a cowgirl roving throughout the high deserts and mountains. She can brand a calf, shoot to kill a rattlesnake’ and ride a horse like hell to get back home in time to get gussied-up to share an alluring glass of wine. Amaia has lived the life of Annie-Oakley on the wide-open spaces; howled with the coyotes in the high mountain, harvested marijuana with neighboring hippies, hunted wild game with the lesbians along the Rio Grande, and waved and smiled at the crowd as she rode in the grand entry of a rodeo. She has waltzed in perfect step at the Cattlemen’s Ball; danced the Ranchero at the Fiestas and then move to the Native Corn Dance with the Jemez Pueblo Indians. Amaia knows the places and people and has lived the history, amongst the many colorful cultures of Nuevo Mexico.
Together, they have written two fiction novels, Love & War In The Age Of Aquarius” and newly released “Horse Girl”.
